Travis Barker urges compassionate choices for animals in new Humane World for Animals campaign

From punk rock bad boy to animal advocate, Barker proves doing good can still have an edge

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Blink-182 drummer and longtime animal lover Travis Barker sheds his bad boy image for a good cause. Barker is teaming up with Humane World for Animals, formerly called the Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International, to encourage people to take action for animals by implementing Small Steps for Good in their everyday lives. 

In a new public service announcement, the punk rock icon reveals how creating a better future for animals does not require dramatic life changes. Simple choices like eating more plant-based meals, choosing cruelty-free products, embracing animal-friendly fashion or adopting a shelter pet instead of buying one from a pet store can have a big impact on reducing animal suffering.

Known for his influential career in music, Barker has also been a dedicated advocate for animals for many years. Through his collaboration with Humane World for Animals, Barker is helping raise awareness of issues affecting animals. A vegan since 2008, he has backed that commitment through investments in vegan restaurants, a cruelty-free wellness brand and support for ethical fashion.
