Tricoci University of Beauty Culture Expands Student Salon Services Across All Campuses With New Kera|RX Partnership

CHICAGO, Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is excited to announce its new partnership with Kera|RX. This new partnership brings Keraplasty, an innovative three-in-one keratin treatment, into the University's cosmetology programs and student clinics across all 15 campuses in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Training for Keraplasty began the week of October 5, 2026, with all 15 Tricoci University campuses expected to complete training by November 20, 2026. As part of the phased rollout, Kera|RX founder Jeremiah Sammons is visiting each campus to demonstrate the treatment and provide hands-on training for students and educators. Keraplasty treatments will be available at all campuses once training is complete.

Keraplasty is a customizable keratin treatment designed to help repair the appearance of damaged hair, reduce frizz, and create thicker-looking, fuller hair through its three-in-one formula. The formaldehyde- and aldehyde-free treatment is designed to improve shine, softness, smoothness, and manageability, with results that can last up to four months depending on hair type and maintenance. Unlike traditional keratin treatments that may require a three-day waiting period before washing, Keraplasty does not require the same wait time.

The treatment offers several options based on guests' hair types and desired results, including a voluminous, polished blowout; a straighter, sleeker finish; or a treatment that helps maintain natural curls while reducing frizz and creating the appearance of fuller hair. The processing time is approximately one hour, with additional time required for shampooing, application, and styling.

Through the partnership, students will learn the science behind the treatment, proper product application, hair analysis, guest consultation, safety protocols, and techniques for achieving customized results. Following their initial training, students will have opportunities to perform Keraplasty services on guests under the supervision of licensed educators. Students who complete the required training and demonstrate their skills through hands-on practice and client services will also have the opportunity to earn a Keraplasty certification.
