Trua MidSouth Brings Compassionate Senior Living Guidance to Memphis Families
Memphis Native Launches Trua MidSouth With a Mission to Give Local Families the Guidance and Support Her Own Family Once Needed
MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Trua Senior Living Locators, a senior living locator service that helps seniors and their families find living opportunities suited to their individual lifestyle needs, has expanded into the MidSouth with the launch of Trua MidSouth, led by Memphis native Heather Barrow Bryant.
For Bryant, the decision to enter the senior living space grew from experiences within her own family and a desire to become the resource she wishes they had during some of their most difficult moments.
In November 2017, Bryant's special needs brother sustained a spinal cord injury. Her family suddenly found themselves navigating rehabilitation, care options and living arrangements with little guidance or support. Then, in January 2021, her father suffered a similar injury. Once again, the family was faced with important decisions and the challenge of piecing together resources on their own.
"Those experiences opened my eyes to just how overwhelming and isolating this process can be for a family," Bryant said. "When someone you love needs care, you're trying to make major decisions at an incredibly emotional time. My mission is to be the resource my family didn't have, someone who can bring clarity, compassion and practical guidance when families need it most."
That mission led Bryant to leave a successful career in supply chain and establish MidSouth Senior Solutions, LLC in May 2026. After being introduced to Trua Senior Living Locators, she saw an opportunity to bring her personal mission together with a service model focused on helping families find senior living options based on the specific needs of the person they love.
Trua provides personalized guidance to seniors and their families as they explore senior living opportunities. The organization uses a combination of technology, vetting protocols and personal guidance to help identify options that align with each client's individual preferences and physical, emotional, financial and spiritual needs.
Bryant brings years of experience solving complex problems, improving processes, removing barriers and developing people throughout her corporate career. She now plans to put those same skills to work for families across the MidSouth area, pairing them with the perspective she gained while navigating care decisions within her own family.
The name Trua reflects compassion, a value Bryant says is at the center of how she intends to serve the community.
A native Memphian, Bryant is deeply connected to the community she now serves. She is a member of the Professional Network on Aging in the MidSouth, the Rotary Club of Memphis, 901 Networking, the Alzheimer's Association, and several other local volunteer organizations.
"This is my home, and I want to make a meaningful difference here," Heather said. "Families shouldn't have to figure everything out by themselves. We want to listen, understand what matters to them and help them move forward with greater confidence. Trua MidSouth is here to be their guide through every next step."
Trua MidSouth's locator services are provided at no cost to seniors and their families.
