TruSurv And RenderWurks To Partner And Deploy A 42,000 Core Render Farm In Texas

DALLAS, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TruSurv and RenderWurks are announcing that in June of this year a 5,280 server farm dedicated to supporting RenderWurks and its customers will go live in the Dallas area with the help of Digital Realty's Turn-Key Flex^SM datacenter solutions.  More than 42,200 CPU cores will be deploy in this phase of the project giving RenderWurks over 105 Terahertz of processing power at its disposal.  According to published information, this joint project will make RenderWurks the largest continually available, publicly accessible dedicated render farm in the world.

Currently, RenderWurks is gearing up for the first of two already executed contracts, which will fully utilize the farm for the remainder of the year.  As part of its dedication to the customers quality experience, RenderWurks is establishing a presence in the greater Los Angeles area where its current and future customers will have instantaneous remote access to the power of the farm and their data in Texas.  It is using this remote access method, coupled with the value economics Texas provides, that is enabling RenderWurks to offer its services at drastically reduced rates. 

In addition to the vast processing capabilities of the farm, an N+1 redundant date storage solution will be available to support all customer data storage requirements.  Primary and failover storage arrays totaling 420 usable terabytes in size will be located in Texas, and a third identical storage solution will be located at the RenderWurks West Coast facility enabling those customers to directly access their compiled project data files.

With the current server deployment completely subscribed through the end of 2013, TruSurv and RenderWurks are scheduled to deploy an additional 5,280 servers later this year.  At that time, the data storage solution will likewise be doubled in size.
