Tucson's 2nd Saturdays Downtown Expands Music Onto 5th Avenue in November
TUCSON, Ariz., Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, November 12, Brice Winston, who currently tours with Grammy Award winning artist Terence Blanchard, will join Kevin & Tanishia Hamilton of Southwest Soul Celebration at 2nd Saturdays new entertainment stage on 5th Avenue and Congress Street beginning at 6:30pm. Brice Winston, a saxophonist/composer/educator currently residing in Tucson, has been touring and recording all over the world, performing in countless major jazz festivals and clubs. Also, joining the new 5th Avenue stage will be local singer, songwriter Celena Santa Cruz and Arianna Douglas.
Headlining the Fox Theatre will be the Up with People cast of 100 young people from 19 countries. The show starts at 7:00pm. Cost is $10 general admission. There will also be an opportunity to catch all 100 cast members in an interactive parade during the family friendly 2nd Saturdays festival. Dressed in the fashion of their country, they will mingle on the sidewalks of Congress Street just before show time.

The Cricket Kids' Area remains a fun spot for the family. On hand will be the Cricket Jumping Castle and other activities sure to entertain, including the FREE G-rated movie, "Cars." The movie begins at approximately 6:30-7:00pm. The street scene will be hopping with car clubs, musicians, "jukebox" statues and vendors. Many downtown businesses will offer specials.
