ATLANTA, Nov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Streamline Health Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRM), provider of integrated solutions, technology-enabled services and analytics supporting revenue cycle optimization for healthcare enterprises, today announced that two new Charter Member contracts for Streamline Health eValuator, its new cloud-based automated pre-bill code analysis technology, were signed on October 31. The first contract is with its long-time client, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, in Sarasota, Florida. The other is with a brand new client in the Northeast.
Streamline Health is leading an industry movement to improve healthcare providers' financial performance by moving mid-to-late revenue cycle interventions upstream, which optimizes coding accuracy for every patient encounter prior to bill submission. By improving coding accuracy before billing, providers can reduce revenue leakage, mitigate overbill risk, and reduce denials. This enables providers to turn unpredictable revenue cycles into dynamic revenue streams.
"We have been using Streamline Health's revenue cycle technologies to help us improve our financial performance for many years now, and, when they showed us their new eValuator pre-bill analysis solution, we were definitely interested," stated Diane Settle, VP of Revenue Cycle, Sarasota Memorial. "The idea of checking the accuracy of our coding on every patient record before billing is very sound, and their analysis of recent billing showed how and where we could improve coding accuracy. We also appreciated the added incentive to be a Charter Member of their new eValuator client base."
"One of our primary business objectives has always been to grow with our clients, and we are very pleased to have one of our longest tenured partners join our eValuator Charter Member class," stated David Sides, President and Chief Executive Officer, Streamline Health. "Sarasota Memorial is very committed to improving the health of the communities they serve – as we are committed to helping them find ways to fund that mission. By deploying eValuator into the front end of their billing cycle they will be able to improve quality upstream in the revenue cycle and minimize the risk of inaccurate billing based on ICD-10 coding deficiencies. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Sarasota Memorial for many more years to come."
In addition, we are pleased to have added our fourth eValuator client during the third quarter and anticipate sharing more news about this client in the coming weeks."
