Tyonek Native Corporation Subsidiaries to Support $16 Million Air Force Contract
MADISON, Ala., Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tyonek Global Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Tyonek Services Group, Inc. (TSG) and Tyonek Native Corporation, has been awarded a $16 million contract to provide integration services of the Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) for UH-1N aircraft. SOF/PR – Rotary Wing & Avionics, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.
Engineering design and A Kit manufacturing will be performed at Tyonek's manufacturing facility in Madison, Alabama. Verification and Validation efforts will be performed at the company's state-of-the-art aircraft modification facility located at the Stennis International Airport, Kiln, Mississippi. Fleet modifications will be performed by Contract Field Teams at CONUS and OCONUS locations. The HUMS system is expected to provide continuous monitoring with flight data to avoid mishaps (both aircraft and repair), reduce maintenance and ultimately provide enhanced safety and aircraft availability.
