U-Haul Acquires and Renovates Germantown Site for New Store

GERMANTOWN, Md., April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- U-Haul is putting its sustainability initiatives to use by renovating the old Germantown Mini Storage property to make moving and storage products and services more convenient to Montgomery County.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Germantown at 19525 Waters Road is currently offering pickup truck and van rentals, outdoor storage, RV/boat/vehicle storage, moving supplies and boxes.

U-Haul is putting its sustainability initiatives to use by renovating the old Germantown Mini Storage property to make moving and storage products and services more convenient to Montgomery County. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Germantown at 19525 Waters Road is currently offering pickup truck and van rentals, outdoor storage, RV/boat/vehicle storage, moving supplies and boxes.

Construction is underway to add a hitch bay where certified professionals will assist customers with the installation of towing equipment. Future construction plans entail a multilevel, indoor storage facility. General manager Patrick Potter also wants to be able to offer U-Box portable moving and self-storage containers.

"We are really looking forward to the modernization of this facility and the potential for growth that this location has," Potter said. "Once this location is fully renovated, it will be a huge benefit to the community."

The 2.14-acre property features four outdoor storage buildings, a two-story house and a large lot.

This is the Company's only store in Germantown and one of more than 30 U-Haul-owned and -operated facilities in Maryland.
