The U-Haul Company of Oklahoma also is offering 30 days free U-Box portable moving and storage to tornado victims. With U-Box portable moving and storage, you can conveniently pick up our custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box pod with you. U-Haul can also store the U-Box pod in our secure warehouse or even pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice, in which case delivery fees are applicable.

In order to better serve all Oklahoma residents and families, the U-Haul Company of Oklahoma announced today that they have significantly lowered the price of small, medium, large and extra-large U-Haul boxes while increasing the daily flow of boxes and other much-needed supplies into local stores.  This will ensure availability of what the community needs to help with tornado recovery such as tarps, gloves, propane and propane tanks. U-Haul urges customers to stop in to ensure that their propane tanks are topped off, since propane is a good thing to have on hand in the event of long-term power outages.

Oklahoma residents also can take advantage of the U-Haul Take a Box, Leave a Box Program. The program enables anyone to bring in their reusable boxes, to allow others to take them as needed – FREE. U-Haul encourages anyone who has any type of reusable box to drop it off at the nearest U-Haul location, instead of throwing the reusable box into the recycling bin.

"This devastating tornado that swept through Oklahoma has caused just an unbelievably terrible amount of damage throughout the communities we serve in our state," stated Marketing Company President (MCP) Brett Hogan, U-Haul Company of Oklahoma City. "Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with those who have been adversely affected by this tornado.  I hope these efforts will help provide assistance to Oklahoma residents who need support. We will do our best to help our friends and neighbors in this time of need."

About U-Haul

Today, that background is central to the U-Haul Sustainability Program: "Serving the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."  Our commitment to reduce, reuse and recycle includes fuel-efficient moving vans, neighborhood proximity, moving box reuse, moving pads made from discarded material and packing peanuts that are 100% biodegradable.  Learn more about these facts and others at uhaul.com/sustainability.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been the choice for the do-it-yourself mover.
