COBRA is a federal law that allows individuals covered under an employer's group health plan to continue their coverage when they would otherwise lose it due to one of several qualifying events such as termination or divorce. Premium billing services includes billing, collecting, and remitting premiums from employees on a leave of absence or FMLA leave, or retirees that need to pay for their contribution to insurance coverage.
