Teamsters Demand Fair Contract Covering 10,000 Workers Nationwide
CHICAGO, Oct. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines mechanics, represented by Teamsters Local 781, will rally on Oct. 16, at 12 p.m. in front of the company headquarters to demand a fair contract and an end to ongoing negotiation delays.
More than 10,000 United Airlines Teamsters nationwide have been in contract negotiations for over a year. Teamsters are calling on United to bargain seriously and stop stalling at the table.
United Airlines Teamsters are fighting for a strong agreement with industry-leading pay that matches competitors Delta and American Airlines. Teamsters mechanics are also demanding transparency and accountability from United amid the company's growing practice of outsourcing critical maintenance work to China and other countries. United Airlines mechanics are simply asking to be respected and fairly compensated for the work they do to keep planes safe.
