NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- United Spinal Association's membership division, National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA), will host two free webinars in February on the topics of how to access catheters that best work for people with disabilities followed by successful home modifications for wheelchair users.

The first webinar Accessing the Catheter that Best Works for You –– Thursday, February 13th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST, will focus on the availability of today's intermittent catheters under Medicare. The webinar will provide attendees the opportunity to learn about the full range of catheter types, both open and closed systems, taking into account medical need and safety.

The webinar is specifically geared toward people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders, caregivers and health care professionals.

Guest speaker will be Steve Boettcher, Reimbursement Specialist, Coloplast Corporation and Sharon Osgood, RN, BSN, CWOCN, Clinical Consultant, Coloplast Corporation.

The second webinar The Formula for Successful Home Modifications –– Wednesday, February 26th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST, will provide wheelchair users and caregivers a blueprint and all the necessary information and tools to make any accessible home modification job a successful one.

Guest speaker will be Frank Gucciardi, MS, PT, CAPS., CGP, President & Owner, Frangeli Consulting & Design.
