University of Phoenix announces National Transfer Student Week webinar focused on transfer-credit opportunities and degree affordability

Complimentary webinar helps current and prospective students learn about transfer credit, prior learning opportunities and affordable degree pathways

PHOENIX, Oct. 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Phoenix is recognizing National Transfer Student Week by offering a complimentary on-demand webinar designed to help current and prospective students learn about transfer credit and how prior learning can help eligible students meet their educational goals. The webinar explores how eligible transfer credits, prior learning and other savings opportunities can help students reduce education costs, build on previous academic achievements and accelerate progress toward a degree.

The webinar, "National Transfer Student Week Webinar: The Ins and Outs of Transfer Credit," highlights how transfer credit can help adult learners reduce college costs while working toward degree completion. University of Phoenix transfer credit data from the past year shows that students brought 904,928 transfer credits to the University, with 63.1% of students transferring previously earned academic credit.

"Students cannot take advantage of opportunities they do not know exist," said Devin Andrews, vice president, Office of Admissions and Evaluations. "This webinar is designed to help current and prospective students understand how transfer credit, prior learning opportunities and evaluation resources can support more affordable pathways to degree completion."

As University of Phoenix celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, the institution is highlighting five decades of helping working adults access higher education in ways that fit their lives, career goals and budgets. Founded in 1976 and online since 1989, the University has long focused on expanding educational access through flexible learning options and pathways that help students build on prior achievements, reduce costs and make progress toward their degrees.
