The project was contracted on April 7, 2025, with Electric Era construction drawings and permits submitted by April 18 and hardware delivered to the site by mid-May. Construction and testing were complete 10 days later, and the site went live on May 30, 2025, a day after the final inspection approval.

The installation time advantage is driven by Electric Era's patented battery-backed architecture, which significantly reduces peak grid input power requirements and dramatically simplifies the complexity of most installations while reducing grid power consumption up to 70%. Electric Era also manages system engineering, supply chain procurement and manufacturing in-house to further improve quality and charging reliability, while also cutting installation time.

The new North Port Costco chargers consist of three charger units, each with one CCS and one NACS cable, and can reach up to 80% state of charge between 20 and 60 minutes, on average.
