US Airways Names Paul Wroble Vice President Maintenance Operations

TEMPE, Ariz., June 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today US Airways (NYSE: LCC) announced that Paul Wroble has been appointed vice president, maintenance operations. In this new position, Wroble will oversee the company's line and heavy maintenance organizations. Wroble will be based in Charlotte, N.C. and report to David Seymour, senior vice president, technical operations. He starts his new position on Monday, June 25, 2012.

Wroble will lead the heavy maintenance organizations, including US Airways' base maintenance operations, all contract heavy maintenance operations, ground service equipment (GSE) operations and the company's line maintenance operations supporting the hub operations in Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia and Phoenix, as well as all other line maintenance stations. 

Most recently, Wroble served as vice president, maintenance and engineering for Pinnacle Airlines where he was responsible for all aspects of maintenance and engineering for Pinnacle's aircraft fleet. During his tenure, the maintenance and engineering organization experienced notable operational improvements.  Previously, he worked in Northwest Airlines' maintenance and engineering organization for more than 20 years. He started his career there as a powerplant engineer and worked his way up through successively more responsible positions. Under his leadership, the line maintenance and GSE maintenance operations experienced significant performance improvements and reduced costs. Prior to joining Northwest Airlines, he was an aircraft engine technical representative for GE.

Wroble earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Technology from Purdue University and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Wroble and his family will be relocating from St. Paul, Minn. to the Charlotte, N.C. area.
