U.S. Census Bureau Awards Contract to Agilex for Mobile Application Development
Strategic Program to Enhance Field Survey and Data Collection Initiatives
CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Agilex, a leading provider of mission and technology solutions to the healthcare, national security and public sectors, today announced that it has been awarded a 4-year prime contract with the U.S. Census Bureau for mobile application development. Agilex will help the Census Bureau capitalize on new and emerging mobile technologies, including smartphones and tablets, to enhance its field survey and data collection initiatives.

As part of this process, Agilex will work with the Census Bureau to develop new applications for field data collection and other survey requirements that can be readily deployed across multiple devices and platforms. Agilex will also help establish a common framework for mobile application development and implement a distributed development environment.
