MONDAY, JANUARY 11: GET ORGANIZED!
Profile America -- Monday, January 11th. This is the time of year when many people realize that the words "someday, we've got to get organized" are quite serious. That's why this is National Clean Off Your Desk Day as well as National Get Organized Month. Experts say that the average person uses just 20 percent of the stuff on their desk to accomplish 80 percent of their work. Noting how important computers are in the modern home and workplace, and that a messy computer is less obvious than a messy desk, it's also Clean Up Your Computer Month. About 80 percent of all adults use a computer on the job or at home. Sending e-mails, accessing the Internet and checking the weather are the most common computer uses. You can find these and more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau, now preparing for the 2010 Census on April 1st.
