TUESDAY, MAY 4: HOLLAND, MICHIGAN TULIP FESTIVAL
Profile America -- Tuesday, May 4th. The 81st annual Tulip Time Festival is on in the town of Holland, Michigan. Rated as one of the best small town festivals in the country, some half a million people are expected to have visited before the event ends this Saturday. They will see millions of tulips in bloom and celebrate Dutch culture with music, dances, and food, as well as arts and craft shows, and parades. There are over five million people of Dutch ancestry in the U.S., more than a third of them live in the Midwest. Holland itself has a population of just under 17 million.
