U.S. Military Service Veterans Sought for New Training Program; SAP NS2 Establishes "NS2 Serves," a Nonprofit Organization, to Provide Training Programs for Veterans
Company Partners with Another Nonprofit to Present New Home in Virginia to a Wounded Veteran
ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A new nonprofit organization, NS2 Serves, inviting U.S. military service veterans to apply for a new training and employment assistance program.
SAP National Security Services, Inc.™ (SAP NS2 ™) established NS2 Serves to offer training courses in I.T. solutions geared for national security applications. Over a three-month period, full-time participants will be trained in business process integration, military supply chain management (SCM), communication and "soft" skills, and case study preparation. Trainees will also have weekly discussions with a business mentor and access to an exclusive job fair with potential employers.
Trainees will receive a monthly stipend; mid-term bonuses for completion of requirements; and, upon graduation, placement assistance to work for the U.S. government, companies, or other organizations in the national security arena. Training will kick off in Bethesda, Maryland, on March 3, 2014 and continue through the end of May.
"This is not just a feel-good initiative," said SAP NS2 President Mark Testoni. "We are committed to providing high-quality training and intensive support to veterans, leading to certifications that will be valuable in many career paths in the U.S. and worldwide."
