U.S. Money Reserve Internship Program Celebrates Two Years

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In February 2016, U.S. Money Reserve (USMR) started its internship program with the hiring of its first marketing intern. Two years later, the team is celebrating the program's success and growth and actively seeking a new round of summer semester interns interested in both working in a fast-paced environment and building interpersonal communications skills.

The internship program began at USMR when Jim Warren (Vice President of Marketing & Communication) hired Mallory Burgess (current Media Buyer) to start up the internship program after Burgess interned with Warren at a previous firm.

"The experience I've gained working alongside Jim and the USMR team has been a crash course in media and marketing and everything in between," said Mallory Burgess. "Any students seeking a rewarding internship that will propel them in their career should look into our internship openings."

Burgess excelled in her role as Marketing Coordinator, where she herself coordinated and managed USMR's internship program. Burgess earned multiple promotions and is currently Media Buyer.

This semester the program has grown to host six  social media and RTF (radio/television/film) interns in the Austin, Texas, offices along with the company's very first Intern Supervisor, Sierra Taylor. Taylor worked with USMR in the summer of 2018 and recently returned to assist in running the internship program, as well as work with USMR's social media platforms. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in advertising at the University of Texas at Austin.
