US Senate Candidate Mike Faris Exposes Billionaire Nate Morris's Blindspot, Kentucky's Healthcare Crisis
LEXINGTON, Ky., July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Kentucky's US Senate candidate Mike Faris's opponents, Daniel Cameron, Andy Barr, and billionaire Nate Morris, don't list healthcare as an issue on their campaign websites. Mike Faris states, "You would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind not to mention Obamacare's overdose of socialism in Kentucky. It's Code Blue for the Blue Grass State!"
Kentucky has a single costly health plan for state, county, and city employees, including teachers, called the Kentucky Employee Health Plan (KEHP). Taxpayers pay $2,185 monthly for the family PPO or $26,229 annually. Workers pay $716 monthly when healthy, but when they develop cancer and become too sick to work, the premium is shifted to the worker who has lost their income. Faris asserts, "Blue Cross knows sick employees can't pay the $26,229 premium with no income, so they terminate their insurance and its financial responsibility. The Blue Cross business plan is to charge $27,000 a year, and when employees get sick, legally cancel their insurance."
Half of Kentucky's children rely on welfare or Medicaid. "It's alarming that 50% of Kentucky's children are on welfare, but this issue seems to escape the attention of politicians and billionaires," says Faris. "The only option for many Kentuckians under Obamacare consists of low-quality HMOs, which provide no coverage at the Cleveland Clinic, rated the second-best hospital in the world. My three opponents do not consider it a problem that Kentuckians are forced to rely on low-quality, Hillary-style HMOs when seeking care."
Mike Faris supports President Trump's American Health Care Act of 2017, also known as Trumpcare. This legislation offers age-based tax credits as an alternative to Medicaid, Obamacare, and costly employer insurance plans. Individuals aged 30 and younger qualify for $2,000 each, while older voters are eligible for higher amounts.
A 29-year-old couple from Lexington with three children qualifies for $10,000 in family subsidies under Trumpcare. Allstate offers a plan with a zero deductible for a premium of $6,000. Under Trumpcare, this family would have their premium fully paid, and an additional $4,000 would be deposited into their tax-free Health Savings Account (HSA) at the bank.
Faris stated, "After the crisis of the 2026 Obamacare rate increases, Trumpcare will be the dominant issue in the 2026 Election. Trumpcare is bipartisan; Democrats will support tax-free HSA deposits."
The Faris Health Policy Director is an Iowa native, Dr. Theresa Graham, a state-certified child advocate for healthcare and education. Dr. Graham is the President of North Florida Right to Life. Theresa Graham, PhD, is an expert on Obamacare, Medicaid, and Allstate free market insurance enrollments. Dr. Graham warns, "The politicians and the press won't tell you, but on October 1st, 2025, Kentucky's self-employed will discover their insurance rates are exploding. For example, a 63-year-old Martin, Kentucky, couple with two children will have their $595 premiums in 2025 increase to $2,729 before the 2026 rate increase."
Faris advocates for larger tax-free Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for all Americans. He states, "If you don't live in Kentucky, you can't vote for me, but I will vote for you. At FarisforSenate.com, we offer more choices than the Obamacare Exchange. Enroll in Allstate to save thousands annually and donate 10% of your savings to the Mike Faris for Senate campaign."
IRAs are old-taxed accounts. HSAs enjoy tax-free deposits, growth, AND withdrawals. Mike Faris instructs, "The best tax cut is no taxes! I support President Trump's Medicare Advantage MSA.

People should save premiums, eliminate taxes, and build wealth. Republican reform empowers American families with the tools they need to become self-reliant and prosperous."
