RIDGELAND, Miss., April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vū Digital, an award-winning Mississippi-based technology company, will be helping the PGA TOUR Entertainment Division better log and meta-tag video content from its extensive, world-wide collection of golf tournament broadcasts.
Vū has signed a multi-year agreement to convert video content from the world's largest professional golf organization into time-stamped metadata using its video-to-data (V2D) product. The platform also will provide an audio transcript of tournament broadcasts time-stamped with frame references.
Vu will demonstrate the technology solution at the National Association of Broadcasters annual show in Las Vegas next week. The week-long industry conference, which begins on April 18, is expected to attract over 103,000 media and entertainment professionals and will feature over 1,700 companies showcasing new technologies that are driving the future of digital media and entertainment.
Vū's video-to-data product converts music, dialogue, faces, logos, objects, text, chyrons and graphics contained in video and audio into chronologically indexed text and provides a transcript of video, audio, and image frames along with metadata timestamped with frame references, according to B. Wade Smith, vice president of operations and development for Vū Digital.
