NORFOLK, Va., Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ValueOptions®, Inc., a health improvement company specializing in mental and emotional wellbeing and recovery, today announced its sponsorship of the 2014 National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) National Conference, which runs from Sept. 3-6. This is the company's 13th consecutive year as the sponsor of the Welcome Center.
In keeping with the conference theme, "Advocates for Change, From Dialogue to Action," ValueOptions is working with clinicians, trained peer hosts and their employees to ensure the more than 2,000 attendees make the most of their conference experience. The Welcome Center serves as a place to obtain a wide range of assistance, from taking a moment's rest from the hustle and bustle of events, to receiving help with mental health issues such as anxiety or lost or forgotten medication. Clinical staff is available 24 hours a day, including a psychiatrist, to support consumers throughout the conference.

"For more than a decade, ValueOptions has had the privilege to serve as a conference partner to NAMI and has worked with them to help make a difference in the lives of individuals with mental illness and their families," said Jordan.
