Vantagepoint Milestone Funds Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary
Assets Reach $4 Billion [1]
WASHINGTON, Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Vantagepoint Milestone Funds have marked their 10th anniversary as registered target date mutual funds. Eight of the funds have built a decade-long track record, and each of the eight has outpaced the peer median of its Morningstar category for the 10-year period ended Dec. 31, 2014.
The Vantagepoint Milestone fund lineup features 10 investment options in the growing target date category, with target dates ranging from 2010 to 2050, as well as a fund designed to provide retirement income.

Five of the eight funds with 10-year records ranked in the top 25 percent of their peer groups based on total returns for the 10-year period as of Dec. 31, 2014, as shown in the chart. All nine of the funds that have at least three-year track records also earned Overall Morningstar Ratings™ of at least three stars as of Dec. 31, 2014.
The dated Milestone Funds are designed for investors who expect to begin making gradual withdrawals, typically at or after retirement, in or around the year designated in the Fund's name. They are designed to age so that each Fund's asset allocation becomes more conservative over time until the Fund achieves a final constant asset allocation approximately 10 years after the year designated in the Fund's name.
