VCU Health Hume-Lee Transplant Center Sets New Records in 2024

RICHMOND, Va., March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As one of the nation's longest-operating and most active transplant centers, VCU Health Hume-Lee Transplant Center performed a record high of 587 transplants in 2024, accounting for 37% of all transplants in Virginia across kidney, liver, heart, and pancreas. Hume-Lee is recognized nationally as a Top 20 center for transplant volume, and the center is poised to begin lung transplantation in 2025, further solidifying its status as a leader in multidisciplinary transplant care.
