COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Vectrus, Inc. (NYSE:VEC) has been awarded the Army's Chief of Staff, Supply Excellence Award at two of its programs.
The first winner comes from the Operations, Maintenance and Supply-Europe (OPMAS-E) Supply Support Activity (SSA) team in Germany. The OPMAS-E SSA supplies network communications equipment and repair parts throughout the Army's European Command.
The other winner is the Consolidated Installation Property Book Office (CIPBO) at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Fort Rucker, Ala. The LRC provides multifunctional logistics support that includes maintenance, supply, and transportation.
The awards are part of a global U.S. Army competition that recognizes the best of the best among its logistics units by measuring areas such as compliance to policies and procedures, implementing performance improvement measures, management control objectives, and knowledge of special situations. The Vectrus teams earned high marks in the qualifying rounds, which involved extensive documentation of their current work, and then outperformed their competition during rigorous onsite inspections.
