Verizon Enterprise Solutions launches second annual Verizon Retail Index
Wireline and mobile network traffic illustrates holiday retail patterns and trends driving consumer engagement
NEW YORK, Nov. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With the official kickoff this week of the 2015 holiday shopping season, Verizon Enterprise Solutions will again release the Verizon Retail Index to offer manufacturers, shippers, retailers and hospitality companies perspective on this year's leading U.S. retail and consumer trends. The Verizon Retail Index is based on traffic data from the company's wireline and mobile networks over a 24-hour period and is designed to identify traffic patterns that Verizon attributes to consumer ecommerce activity in the United States.
The first edition of the 2015 Verizon Retail Index will publish tomorrow (Tuesday, November 24) at 1:00pm ET. Going forward, findings from the Index will publish every Monday and Thursday at 1:00 pm ET. Verizon will publish more frequently around Thanksgiving to capture traffic for traditionally heavy shopping days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The full list of publication dates includes:
