Verizon Offers FiOS TV Customers New Convenience With 'My Account,' Company's Latest Self-Help Tool

NEW YORK, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon's FiOS TV subscribers now have a new, convenient way to interact with the company – on their TV screens.   My Account, the company's latest self-help tool, enables subscribers to view a breakdown of their monthly bills, related information, and expiration dates for current promotions and details on Share the Network, Verizon's rewards program for referring friends and family.

"My Account is an another innovative tool that offers customers direct access to information they otherwise would have to obtain online or by calling Verizon directly," said Shawn Strickland, vice president of consumer strategy for Verizon.  "Subscribers have been able to interact with us through the Web and mobile devices. Now, through My Account, they can do so via their TV screens, making it easy and convenient to do business with us from the comfort of their home, any time of day."  

My Account, available this week, enables FiOS TV customers to click on the following options:

• View My Bill – Provides access to the first bill estimate for new customers, and summary of the last billing statement for existing customers, including total amount due, last payment received, balance going forward, total new charges, and adjustments and credits.
• Expiring Promotions – Notifies new subscribers about promotions that are due to expire.
• Share the Network – Enables subscribers to learn about Verizon's referral program, which offers rewards when signing up a friend or family member for Verizon services.

A self-service channel for new and existing FiOS TV subscribers, My Account can be accessed through the main menu on the FiOS TV Interactive Media Guide under the new Customer Support tab.  My Account is the latest enhancement to Verizon's signature self-service tools: the Support section of Verizon.com; online ordering for existing and new customers for bundles and a la carte services within Verizon.com; FiOS TV Interactive Media Guide (IMG); In-Home Agent (IHA) software; and a telephone voice-response system. All of these tools are simple to use, effective and available at no additional cost.  

FiOS TV offers a broad collection of programming, with more than 560 all-digital channels, and up to 140 HD channels.  FiOS provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social-networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; multi-room DVR; Internet videos on TV; streaming of personal videos, photos and music from home computers to the TV; and many others.  The FiOS TV Widget Bazaar is a marketplace for applications that includes a selection of free interactive services, including widgets that let subscribers interact with Facebook, Twitter, KODAK Gallery, HSN and other services on their TVs.
