Versant Delivers Swedish Epic-Pop, Fronted by a Bona Fide Siren

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The brainchild of Carah Faye Charnow, former frontwoman of the Grammy-nominated Shiny Toy Guns, and producer Daniel Johansson, Versant dwells in the ether of great pop synthesists like M.I.A. and Arcade Fire -- courageous artists who are redefining modern pop with a niche that extends deep into the mainstream.

Heartbeats, their sparkling debut, synthesizes electro-melodicism with up-to-the-minute textures that ignite both dance floors and rock clubs. "Our goal was to start new chapters in our lives without drawing from our past ones," explains Charnow about her collaboration with Johansson, who also produced the title track of 2009's Crossing the Rubicon for fellow Swedes The Sounds.
