Verve™ Announces the Appointment of Tom Kenney to the Position of President and CEO
NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Verve™, the industry leader in location-powered mobile marketing, today announced that its board of directors appointed Tom Kenney as the company's next chief executive officer, effective immediately. Kenney, an innovator in the mobile arena, is the original founder of Verve and has served as the company's president and chief innovation officer since 2015. As president and CEO, Kenney's priority will be to further grow the Verve business by leveraging its market-leading mobile marketing platform to drive foot traffic and sales for modern marketers in the US and abroad.
Since founding Verve in 2005, Kenney has focused on the power of location intelligence and mobile to provide advertisers with inventive solutions to enhance the success of its mobile marketing strategies. Resulting from his pioneering efforts, Verve has become one of the most powerful mobile technology platforms in the marketing industry, growing 65 percent annually since 2009.
Prior to Verve, Kenney spent five years with BlueRun Ventures, an early stage global venture capital fund, and the previous two years with Nokia Oy, overseeing their investments in mobile internet technologies. Early in his career, he held various management roles in the telecommunications industry and holds an MBA from the George Mason University – School of Management.
