Veteran Litigator Mark Ash Joins McGuireWoods

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- McGuireWoods LLP announced today that Mark Ash, a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of courtroom experience in North Carolina and across the country, has joined the firm as a partner in the Raleigh office.  Ash will be a key member of McGuireWoods' nationally recognized commercial litigation team.  

Ash is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and has represented many companies in sensitive litigation matters, including a wide range of commercial matters ranging from airline accident investigations to employment, intellectual property and antitrust claims, to First Amendment challenges to laws regarding restrictions on pharmaceutical marketing. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Ash was with Twiggs, Beskind, Strickland & Rabenau. Prior to that, he was with the law firm of Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan in Raleigh. He practiced in Boston, Mass., before moving to North Carolina.

Ash, a licensed pilot for 37 years, is a graduate of Harvard College, and he received his law degree from the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the courts of appeals in the 1st and 4th Circuits, as well as all federal and state courts in North Carolina.
