NEW YORK, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vinnie Brunetti, Chief Executive Officer of RVM Enterprises, Inc., was honored by The American Kidney Fund as Humanitarian of the Year. Mr. Brunetti was recognized for his selfless commitment to community and for giving back to those in need.
Mr. Brunetti believes that with success comes the responsibility to give back. He has sought out organizations where he can provide a helping hand to those in need. Mindful of the service they provide, Mr. Brunetti is also a strong supporter of United States Veterans. Vinnie and his wife, Cheryl, have shared the gift of an open heart and the value of community service with their daughters, delivering turkeys and hams to their local church so that those less fortunate would have Christmas dinner. Mr. Brunetti realized that he could shine a spotlight on The American Kidney Fund, a 13-time recipient of the top "Four Star" rating from Charity Navigator and among the top 1% of charities nationwide for fiscal responsibility.
"It was a tremendous honor to be recognized by The American Kidney Fund, but my contributions to society are nothing compared to what The American Kidney Fund provides to low income dialysis patients and overall care for those in need," said Mr. Brunetti. "It's a great organization and certainly one that is fiscally responsible. They truly are the ones that stand out as making a difference in people's lives."
Leaders in the medical community were at the event, held at Battery Gardens in New York City. Also honored were Richard Amerling, M.D. as Nephrologist of the Year and Justin Aaron Clayborne as Co-Humanitarian of the Year.
