American Commercial College closing Shreveport location
SHREVEPORT and BOSSIER CITY, La., Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City announced today that it will accept students of American Commercial College in Shreveport who choose to transfer as a result of the recently announced closing of the American Commercial College Shreveport location.
"We welcome students that choose to transfer and will make every effort to ensure that their transition to Virginia College is as seamless as possible," says Campus President Melody Rider. "We are working closely with American Commercial College representatives to ensure that the students will be taken care of appropriately. We plan to provide students with a positive experience that will enable them to complete their educational goals."
The Shreveport Virginia College campus is located at 2950 E. Texas St., Suite C, and offers programs in Business Administration - Associate Degree, Cosmetology, Healthcare Reimbursement, Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant Diploma, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Office Administration, Office Administration and Pharmacy Technician.
Both colleges are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) which is a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
