Vision Films Releases Sci-Fi, Psychological Thriller 'Isolation' After Labor Day
LOS ANGELES, Calif., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision Films announces the worldwide Transactional VOD release of Isolation on September 22, 2026, through a deal with Legacy Distribution. The intense drama was directed and produced by James Drake Coleman and co-produced by Joe Barajas of Regardless Productions. Isolation was filmed in various locations across Texas starting in Austin that crisscrossing the state from Monahans Sandhills State Park in West Texas to the Pineywoods forest region of East Texas.
Originally an award-winning 16-minute short film, this passion project of Coleman's became a full-length feature made possible by angel investors. Coleman, who also stars in, edited and scored the film, credits the support of friends for making his cinematic dream come true.
The dystopian adventure follows Logan, a prisoner aboard a desolate spacecraft, as he undertakes dangerous missions to retrieve alien artifacts in exchange for a chance at freedom. His only companion is the ship's onboard messaging interface, "AMI." As Logan faces isolation and danger, the film explores questions of purpose, survival, and the nature of his own mind.
