Visionworks Teams Up With ABC's "The Chew" To Cook Up A Recipe For Healthy Eyes

SAN ANTONIO, March 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Visionworks, a national eyewear retailer with over 700 locations nationwide, is partnering with ABC's The Chew - the nationally televised daytime food and lifestyle series hosted by Mario Batali, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly, Daphne Oz and Michael Symon.

Everyone knows that carrots are great for eye health, but what they don't know is there are a variety of colorful, tasty foods that are also beneficial. Visionworks joins The Chew for Save Your Vision Month to share the recipe for healthy eyes. According to Prevent Blindness America, one in four children has an undetected vision problem – a fact that's not widely known. Through Visionworks' Let's Go See program, the company is encouraging every child to have an eye exam every year. During the show, scheduled to air Wednesday, March 23, Visionworks will feature helpful health tips and the perfect recipe to support children's vision through the Let's Go See program. In-studio audience members that day will receive a pair of free sunglasses courtesy of Nike, an eyeglass cleaning kit and a Let's Go See Pay It Forward voucher for a free kids eye exam and free pair of glasses at Visionworks.
