Visit Bastrop, an Emerging Texas Destination, Welcomes New Brand

BASTROP, Texas, Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Visit Bastrop, the official tourism marketing organization for the City of Bastrop, today announced its rebranding effective immediately.

Visit Bastrop debuted a new logo, tagline and branding campaign to reflect the destination's core values and unique experiences it offers. The concept was developed by Augustine, Visit Bastrop's agency of record and focuses on Bastrop's charm, hospitality, historic heritage and spirited adventures. The new Visit Bastrop tagline "Welcome To It All" speaks of the brand's promise of treating visitors like family and providing them with opportunities to create unforgettable memories.

The new logo was designed to be fluid with 10 different images of iconic Bastrop landmarks and experiences, placed behind the text. To keep the logo authentic to the city, Augustine issued a Request for Proposal and selected local illustrator Katie Allcorn to create images of the Old Iron Bridge, downtown Bastrop and of other outdoor, culinary and entertainment experiences.

The new branding and logo originated after consumer research found unknown destinations with coveted small-town charm have been among the fastest-growing trends in tourism. Travelers are drawn to more off-the-beaten path destinations that mix outdoor adventures with the comforts of home, exactly what Bastrop delivers to its visitors.
