VisualOn announces OnStream® AdFlow to provide enhanced Ad playback for OTT multiscreen services
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- VisualOn, Inc., a multimedia software company that enables scalable cross-platform media playback for global streaming media brands, today announced the general availability of OnStream AdFlow, adding Ad-management and Ad-playback capability to the media framework product OnStream® MediaPlayer+ (OSMP+). VisualOn has been working with many premier global Over-The-Top (OTT) operators to reduce the complexity of Ad-playback on multi screen devices. With this offering, OTT operators can now have a reliable method to deliver Ads to different devices and get tracking information from the media player.
OnStream AdFlow provides standards based Ad insertion and playback support for OTT and TV-Everywhere service providers to facilitate monetization of their offering across multi-screen platforms. OnStream AdFlow interfaces seamlessly with OSMP+ in support of Ad insertion, playback and tracking. It features a unique architecture that facilitates smooth transitions for Content-to-Ad, Ad-to-Content, or Ad-to-Ad, as well as support for intelligent client-side Ad break and seek management to maximize Ad revenue and business return.
OnStream AdFlow allows for Ad and Ad Pod insertion for pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll, in addition to pre-roll and post-roll support for both Live and linear content. Moreover, it supports VMAP and VAST formats for Ad stitching and tracking, on top of providing pre-integrated support for most popular 3rd party Ad tracking systems, making it easy to tie into existing tracking infrastructure.
