Vormetric Expands Data Security Platform Offering for Teradata Solutions

An extension of the Vormetric Data Security Platform, this new product adds data-at-rest encryption capabilities for the Teradata Integrated Data Warehouse, enabling Vormetric customers to meet regulatory compliance initiatives, such as PCI-DSS 3.0 and HIPAA/HITECH, secure personally identifiable information (PII) and help prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data.

Vormetric Protection for Teradata Database simplifies the process of employing column-level encryption in the Teradata Database across the Teradata Workload-Specific Platform Family. The product reduces complexity for developers by offering documented, standards-based application programming interfaces (APIs) and user-defined functions (UDFs) for encryption and key management to secure data at rest.
