VWR and E&I Cooperative Services Sign Contract to Benefit E&I Members
RADNOR, Pa., July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- VWR, acquired by Avantor in 2017 as a wholly-owned subsidiary and leading global provider of product and service solutions to laboratory and production customers, has been awarded a five-year laboratory supplies and services contract by E&I Cooperative Services (E&I), effective July 1, 2018.
E&I is the only member-owned, non-profit purchasing cooperative solely focused on serving the needs of education. Providing over 120 competitively awarded contracts and dedicated member resources nationwide, E&I is a trusted advisor to the education community, leveraging the purchasing power of over 4,600 members to help higher education and K-12 institutions optimize supply-chain efficiencies, lower costs and reduce risks.
This new five-year contract, with a five-year extension option, was awarded to VWR by E&I after an extensive competitive request for proposal (RFP) process. The E&I RFP process is validated by the National Institute of Government Purchasing (NIGP) and meets the needs of EDGAR/Uniform Guidance. All proposals were scored against strict criteria such as breadth and depth of products and value-added solutions offered and additional discounts, incentives, and value for members.
