The services offered by the  onsite health and wellness coaches, which engaged over  95% of the Furmano Foods employees included:

• Identifying and guiding employees with previously undiagnosed and untreated chronic health conditions to get medical treatment
• Educating employees on being better healthcare consumers including the use of generic drugs and highlighting cost differences between local hospitals and doctors
  

Having onsite coaches at Furmano Foods had the following impact:

• Actual health care costs for each year after 2004 were lower than projected, culminating with a difference of over $2,000,000 in 2010 alone
• Flat healthcare costs per employee were achieved every year since 2008
• Future, more costly, claims dollars associated with both chronic conditions and with an ageing employee population (50%+ over 50 years of age) were mitigated
