Wellness Workdays' Dietetic Internship Expands Worksite Wellness Offerings to Become One of the Largest in the US

HINGHAM, Mass., Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Wellness Workdays, a leading provider of worksite wellness programs, announces that the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) granted the Wellness Workdays Dietetic Internship (WWDI) full accreditation and quadrupled the number of yearly internship openings. Initially granted Candidacy for Accreditation in 2012 by ACEND, the WWDI is the only internship in the nation that trains future Registered Dietitians in worksite wellness and health promotion. Now one of the largest dietetic internships in the country, the recent expansion includes the addition of two new, innovative concentrations: one in sports nutrition and entrepreneurship; and a second in nutrition communications and marketing.

Well-known for attracting applicants with strong academic credentials, the WWDI addresses an emerging field in dietetics, creating more opportunities and awareness for health promotion while training a new generation of worksite wellness professionals.
