Wescott's eighth consecutive ride highlights growth from two riders to 20 and more than $90,000 raised for MS research since 2018
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Wescott Financial Advisory Group, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in Philadelphia, proudly marked its eighth consecutive year supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's mission to end MS through the 2025 MS City to Shore Ride. This year, the firm's cycling team, the Wescott Wheelers, achieved its most successful ride to date, raising $31,215, surpassing its $25,000 fundraising goal and securing a spot among the Top 20 fundraising teams (#17 overall). The team also met its largest participation milestone with 20 riders and volunteers, including Wescott executives, team veterans, and first-time participants.
"Supporting the MS Ride reflects what Wescott stands for: our commitment to caring for one another, our clients, and the communities we call home," said Grant Rawdin, Founder and CEO of Wescott Financial Advisory Group. "This event is deeply personal for our firm, and we're proud to join together to make an impact that extends beyond financial advice and into the lives of those affected by MS."
The 2025 team was led by Dan Wick, Controller and longtime Team Captain, who completed the full 150-mile weekend route. Wick was joined by Chief Investment Officer Mark McCarron, Senior Financial Planning Analyst Andrea Berger, and other Wescott team members Alex Rawdin, Scott Michalek, Rich Fuiman, and Margie Abrams.
"This year's record fundraising shows what happens when values meet action," said Wick. "At Wescott, we believe in aligning purpose with effort, and the MS Ride is a powerful example of how our people live that out. The energy of our team and community has been nothing short of inspiring."
Since forming in 2018 with just two riders, the Wescott Wheelers have collectively raised more than $90,000 to advance MS research and services. Funds raised support the National MS Society's groundbreaking work, including:
- $1.1 billion invested in MS research since 1946
- Every effective MS treatment available today made possible by Society-funded research
- Nearly 300,000 people supported by the MS Navigator® program since 2017
- 45,000 MS activists mobilized to shape policy
The MS City to Shore Ride also reflects Wescott's broader commitment to philanthropy as a B Corp-certified firm and founding member of the Net Positive Consortium. Beyond the ride, Wescott supports a wide range of community initiatives, including the upcoming UAC Fall Breakfast, one of Philadelphia's impactful community events.
