DANBURY, Conn., May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Westchester K-12 Publishing Services is proud to announce that Marie Brown, founder of the Brown Publishing Network, has agreed to serve as Editorial Project Director for the company. Westchester and Brown reached an exclusive agreement, under which she will provide K-12 editorial and project management services for Westchester K-12 Publishing Services.
Marie Brown founded Brown Publishing Network in 1983, a company that provided publishers with some of the most highly respected K-12 product development services in the market. After nearly 30 years of operation, Brown made the decision to sell Brown Publishing Network to Six Red Marbles in 2011.
"Having been in the K-12 publishing services business for nearly twenty years, I have been impressed by Marie Brown's impeccable reputation and accomplishments. I am honored and thrilled that Marie has agreed to serve as Editorial Project Director for Westchester K-12 Publishing Services," noted Kevin Gray, Director, Westchester K-12 Publishing Services.
Marie Brown commented, "I am very excited to once again be part of a team creating fabulous learning materials for our U.S. classrooms – it has been the passion of my life. With Westchester being a 100% U.S. employee-owned company and possessing a nearly 50 year history focused on providing outstanding pre-press publishing services, I knew it was the right time and right fit when they approached me about their decision to enter the K-12 publishing services market and asked me to join as Editorial Project Director. I look forward to many successful years of collaboration with Westchester K-12 Publishing Services."
