Immersive Limited-Run, Museum-Quality Exhibit Begins Six-Week Engagement On September 1 At Westfield Garden State Plaza
PARAMUS, N.J., Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Westfield Corporation has announced the Garden State Plaza debut of UP CLOSE: MICHELANGELO'S SISTINE CHAPEL, an immersive, limited-run exhibit of museum-quality, near life-size reproductions of the iconic master's frescoes that adorn the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
The exhibit will be open daily from September 1 through October 15 at the Westfield Garden State Plaza. Ticket prices start at $15 and are available in advance at www.westfield.com/upclose. Day of tickets are also available for sale at the Box Office. Special rates for students, seniors, and members of the military are available.

The breathtaking UP CLOSE: MICHELANGELO'S SISTINE CHAPEL allows visitors to experience one of the world's greatest artistic achievements: Michelangelo's famous ceiling frescoes from the Vatican's Sistine Chapel, reproduced to near original size in a format that allows viewers an ideal vantage point from which to observe the artist's masterpieces. Through 34 reproductions artfully displayed in a deeply engaging environment, this innovative presentation of world-renowned pieces like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgement brings audiences face-to-face with the artwork, providing a perfect opportunity for those who have seen the pieces in their grandeur in Rome and want a closer look, or who have never made the trip but want to revel in the wonder and beauty themselves.

For art lovers and the devout, this exhibit offers the chance to explore the work in a way that is both contemporary and curated – uncluttered, self-timed, and in-depth. Guests may enhance their experience by adding an optional audio guide, with narrative accompaniment available in four languages. Audio guides are available for $3 and are included in advance ticket packages online or at the box office.
UP CLOSE: MICHELANGELO'S SISTINE CHAPEL is showcased in a spacious, climate-controlled tent on the grounds of Westfield Garden State Plaza, in the West Parking Lot between Neiman Marcus and Lord & Taylor. The exhibit is conveniently located near ample parking and just steps away from the Center's extensive collection of stores and restaurants.
UP CLOSE: MICHELANGELO'S SISTINE CHAPEL is a licensed exhibition of SEE™ Global Entertainment, a LA-based exhibition production company which acquired the worldwide rights to the fresco reproductions originally photographed by world-renowned photographer Erich Lessing. The exhibit will also travel to Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, and Annapolis, MD.
