NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded in 2023 by Aviv Frenkel and Evyatar Segal, Moonshot AI previously operated under its name when the China-based Moonshot AI, behind the Kimi AI models, began its global expansion, creating a mix-up between the two unrelated businesses.

Because of the confusion, Moonshot AI is now Shuttlebase, marking a new chapter for the New York-based company.

Behind the rebrand is a company tackling a fundamental problem in eCommerce. Brands spend heavily driving traffic to their sites, but improving what happens after a shopper arrives still requires a full team to manually test and optimize.

Unlike traditional experimentation platforms, Shuttlebase is an autonomous optimization system for eCommerce websites. It analyzes how shoppers move through a site, identifies opportunities, designs and codes the change, tests it against live traffic, and deploys the winner. Then it starts again.
