
What Works Clearinghouse Review of Sopris' Sound Partners Program Finds Positive Effects for Struggling K-3 Students
LONGMONT, Colo., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) reviewed 18 studies that investigated the effects of Sound Partners on beginning readers. Based on the seven studies that meet WWC evidence standards with or without reservations, Sound Partners showed positive effects on alphabetics, fluency and comprehension.
Sound Partners is a phonics-based tutoring program published by Sopris, a business unit of Cambium Learning Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ABCD) that provides supplemental reading instruction to elementary school students in grades K–3 with below average reading skills.
