Where Art Royalty & Fashion's Rising Stars Align: The Official LA Fashion Week™ Opening Night Gala

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- LA Fashion Week (LAFW) will host its opening night reception celebrating the Spring/Summer 2017 collections on September 28 at the Hollywood Athletic Club. The exclusive engagement will debut this season's 18 award-winning designers including Ashton Michael, Samsara, Recreation, and revolutionary high fashion brand Bezgraniz Couture, alongside a gallery of top names in the visual arts community commissioned by Sur Le Mur's Megan Phillips:

This season's event will not only welcome the fashion community's rising stars, but also artists that have impacted art culture in Los Angeles and around the globe. These visual creators are not afraid to speak to the current social landscape through their art. Featured artists include Lincoln Townley, Risk, Alexandra Grant, Billy Morrison and LA's own Plastic Jesus, who recently built a wall around Donald Trump's Hollywood star which spoke volumes on the recent political campaign. In addition, two iconic pieces will be available by Banksy.

The night will also feature live musical performances by Palaye Royale, 2014 MTV Musical March Madness winner, and up-and-coming WMG recording artist duo Faarrow.

What makes this latest showcase different is the designers' and artists' willingness to explore new ways to create and share their brand vision/experience. In addition, LAFW has curated a diverse group of social influencers/brand ambassadors with strong voices in the fashion and creative communities in Los Angeles.
