WILMINGTON, Del., July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilmington residents looking for a taste of the tropics will be in for a treat on Fri., July 21 and Sat., July 22 as the newest Tropical Smoothie Café (TSC), located in the Pike Creek Shopping Center at 4742 Limestone Rd., will hold a two-day Grand Opening Celebration starting at 7:00 a.m. The newest location will also be hosting an official ribbon cutting ceremony with special dignitaries to commemorate the opening on Fri., July 21 at 10:30 a.m.

The two-day celebration will include giveaways and product tastings. The first 50 guests in line by 7:00 a.m. on Friday will receive free smoothies for a year.^* The newest café in Wilmington will also be offering special deals all day long. With every purchase, all guests will receive a second menu item of equal or lesser value for free! As the newest TSC celebrates its entering into the community, the Mill Creek Fire Company celebrates its 90 years of operation. On Saturday, the newest café will be donating 10 percent of all its proceeds to the Mill Creek Fire Company in honor of their service.

The 1,881 square foot café features the new Tropical Smoothie Café décor package, featuring an island-inspired atmosphere. The Tropical Smoothie Café is owned by franchisee Steve Modi and business partners Vijay and Jimit Modi.

This location will serve as the first café in the state of Delaware and has sparked the Modis' plan to expand the brand with five more locations in the near future.
