Three New Principals Named to Support Firm Growth
ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to support its growing client base, Windham Brannon, a leading provider of tax, audit, accounting and advisory services, recently announced the promotion of three experienced professionals to principals.
Mike Hostinsky was recently promoted to Principal for the firm's Risk & Advisory Services segment. With 14 years of experience in audit, compliance, risk management and business consulting, Hostinsky has served clients across a variety of industries, including retail, manufacturing, transportation, logistics and technology. Prior to joining Windham Brannon in 2014, he was the Vice President of Procurement and Compliance for Teavana Corporation, a subsidiary of Starbucks Corporation. He also spent five years in public accounting as a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services practice of Grant Thornton. Hostinsky holds a master's degree in business administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in business from Wake Forest University. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) as well as a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Doug Neal, who joined Windham Brannon in 2005, has been promoted from Tax Senior Manager to Principal for the tax practice. With more than 12 years of industry experience, Doug specializes in tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, estates and trusts. Additionally, Doug focuses on closely-held businesses and their owners, with a significant portion of clients being family-owned companies with several pass-through entities. Prior to Windham Brannon, he was an Associate at KPMG. Doug holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
Rebecca Smith has been promoted to Principal for the firm's audit practice. She joined Windham Brannon in 2006 as an Audit Senior Manager and was later named Director of Audit and Assurance. Smith has more than 30 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on employee benefit plans, internal accounting, financial statement audits, reviews and compilations. Prior to Windham Brannon, she was the Finance Manager for Cathedral of Christ the King, and an Audit Senior Manager for both Friedman LLP and KPMG. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She's an active member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Women in Pensions, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
