#WineWednesday Is Real, According To Minibar Delivery
Wine Beats Out Beer & Spirits as Drink of Choice Nationwide, Making Up 50% of Minibar Delivery's Online Alcohol Sales
NEW YORK, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wine leads the way for US consumers purchasing alcohol online, according to Minibar Delivery (www.minibardelivery.com), the leading on-demand delivery service that brings wine, beer and liquor to you in under 60 minutes.
In honor of National Wine Day (Thursday, May 25th), Minibar Delivery found that wine - red, white, rosé and sparkling - is by far the service's most popular category, making up 50% of the company's sales to beat out beer and spirits. Nationally, red wine is the most popular purchase, followed by white and then rosé.
And #WineWednesday is a real thing - the most popular time for wine orders occurs at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays, followed by Fridays at 8:10 PM.
When using Minibar Delivery's online service, customers are purchasing wines retailing for about $18 per bottle, spending $48 per order on wine alone. On average Minibar Delivery customers spend about $73 per order, of which wine accounts for two-thirds of the total purchase.
"Wine is always a go-to choice for our customers, which is why we've made it a priority to partner with stores that have the best selection to fit every budget and taste," said Lara Crystal, co-Founder and co-CEO of Minibar Delivery.
